Environmentally Aware
Edge Grove School is a registered Eco Schools' school and is working towards the following key environmental aims:
*to increase awareness of environmental issues amongst pupils and staff
*to maximise recycling
*to minimise electricity, water, oil, gas and paper wastage
*to promote a healthy lifestyle
*to take full advantage of our school environment
The Edge Grove community has shown a commitment to sustainability and to educating the pupils at Edge Grove to respect and appreciate the environment in which we live.
The Edge Grove Environment Committee have:
*Identified an Action Team which has met on at least two occasions.
*The Action Team has completed a formal Environmental Review.
*The Action Team has produced a basic Action Plan and shared the plan with the rest of the school community.
*The Action Team can identify progress towards achieving elements of the Action Plan.
*The school can indicate that some environmental issues have been covered within curriculum work.
*The school has a prominent, designated notice board, web pages or newsletter which details Eco-Schools activities.
