School Motto: "Utraque Fortuna Fides: In either Fortune, Faith"
Focussed on the principles of child-centred excellence and inclusivity, Edge Grove sets out to provide a deliberately broad educational experience in which all pupils are prepared for a successful, happy and healthy future founded on decency, mutual respect, self-confidence, a love of learning and a commitment to the higher goals of community and a sustainable environment.
Essential Core Values: "Child Centred Excellence"
Relationships: Great importance is placed on everyday decency and manners between individuals: children, staff and parents. There are simple rules designed to help the children make their way through every day, week and term.
Inclusiveness : We are highly inclusive in our approach to all aspects of daily life: academic, extra-curricular and pastoral. The rounded needs of each individual will always be taken into account.
Excellence: Combined with this principle of inclusiveness is a commitment to excellence. Whilst there are opportunities for all children to thrive in their work and extra-curricular activities, there is appropriate differentiation between A and B streams, A, B and C teams, those who perform at very high levels and those who perform for pure enjoyment.
Community: Close working relationships are developed with pupils and their parents so that the educational experience can be born out of effective partnership between school and home.
Spirituality: We are proud of our heritage as a Church of England school whilst embracing the religious and cultural differences of all children and families who join the community.
