We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our Head Boy, Ediz Karakas, will become a King’s Scholar when he joins Eton in the Autumn. The process is highly competitive and Ediz is one of only 14 boys from across the country to be awarded a scholarship for September.

Ediz and his parents are overjoyed and had this to say about the school’s role in helping Ediz with this incredible achievement: “While preparation for the King’s Scholarship has been a very intensive process, it is the entire learning journey at Edge Grove over the years that paved the way for Ediz’s success. We believe Edge Grove instilled in Ediz a passion for learning and an extremely inquisitive mind. Edge Grove is very experienced in supporting pupils in the scholarship process, and that also helped Ediz achieve this wonderful result.”

We wish Ediz all the best for his future education at Eton. We have no doubt that he will be a huge success.

Our congratulations also go to Lucas Hao who achieved straight A grades in the prestigious, and incredibly challenging, Westminster Challenge Scholarship papers. Academic scholarship papers at these schools assess an individual’s reasoning at an A Level standard and to perform well in such challenging papers requires a great deal of determination, hard work and commitment. We are extremely proud of both boys for their fantastic achievements.
