The Lower Prep at Edge Grove extends the Pre Prep foundation by challenging pupils in the classroom, on the sports field or through the Creative Arts.

We continue to develop children as independent learners, giving individuals a balance of support, challenge and extension, beyond the National Curriculum. We challenge children to extend their knowledge and skills, to become ‘thinkers’ and problem solvers and learning is enriched through an array of off-site trips and visitors to the school. Building on the solid foundation of earlier years, pupils in Years 5 and 6 develop an eagerness to learn and a spirit of independence. Our aim is to produce confident well rounded individuals, whilst affording them the best possible education.

In Lower Prep each form has a dedicated form tutor who is responsible for registration and is the first point of call for pastoral care. The form tutor also monitors the academic progress of each pupil and communicates regularly and effectively with parents.

During these years at Edge Grove, pupils are encouraged to undertake a broad spectrum of activities, and are given many opportunities for personal and social growth.

If you would like to know more about our thriving Lower Prep at Edge Grove, I would be delighted to meet you and show you around.
