Welcome to Edge Grove and to our website, which I hope provides you with a sense of how Edge Grove develops confidence and independence in all of our pupils, establishing in them the skills which will prepare them for a future life and love of learning.

We believe in the truly transformative effect of a preparatory Edge Grove education; one which provides boys and girls with a safe, happy and uniquely child-centred environment in which they can build friendships (often for life), belong, develop their own agency and innate creativity, curiosity and character.

From our vibrant Nursery, located in Aldenham Village (first house on the right!) and with the easiest access to the M1 and the A41, right through to Year 8, our Early Years curriculum laminates an adamantine foundation of skills and knowledge on which our pupils can build future learning.

Our highly-qualified and experienced teaching staff encourage children to participate early as active learners, to take increasing ownership of their learning, to probe, question and develop an increasing Growth Mindset together with the self-discipline, perseverance and academic risk-taking that is our academic hallmark. Through this, our pupils learn the confidence and independence to inspire.

Edge Grove’s senior pupils are living embodiments of our coeducational Mission; they are proudly individual yet connected by an education which teaches them to love learning and love life.

Our education is resolutely focused on developing the ten core skills needed for future success and life fulfilment, as identified by the World Economic Forum*. Our role as educators is to encourage our young adventurers not only to embrace and be an integral part of their own development and change, but to be excited by it, developing resilience and inspiring excellence in all that they do.

Our co-curricular programme provides further wonderful co-educational opportunities to develop physical and creative skills in sport, music, drama, art and design and through the wonderful Forest School programme; our sports hall, swimming pool, technology infrastructure and surrounding park and woodland provide further spaces for 21st century children to upskill.

Edge Grove educates the entrepreneurs of tomorrow, leaders capable of independent critical thinking, collaboration, competitiveness but also compassion. We encourage our pupils to be courageous, decisive and dedicated young people who bring their emotional intelligence to bear in their entrepreneurship and creativity and in the future flourishing of humanity.

Our most recent Independent Schools Inspection Report (ISI) identified the School to be excellent in all areas, and I commend it to you as an incisive and honest external appraisal of our wonderful community.

However, to understand why children truly love Edge Grove, come and pay us a visit and see how we inspire every child! Open Mornings take place every term and details can be found here. Come and tour our site with our knowledgeable and effervescent pupil guides before meeting with staff.

If you would like to arrange an individual appointment to visit the School and meet with me, please complete the Contact Form below or contact Admissions on 01923 855724 or admissions@edgegrove.com

We look forward to inspiring you and your child.
