Joining Edge Grove depends on your child’s entry point. Nursery and Reception are our most popular entry points in September, but places may also be available in other year groups. We can consider entry at other times if a September start isn’t possible.

When assessing your child, we may also contact their current school, nursery, or childcare provider to get a full picture of their abilities and potential.

We understand that waiting can be difficult, so we aim to respond as quickly as possible, usually within 24 hours of assessment, to let you know if a place at Edge Grove can be offered.

Admissions Steps at Edge Grove

Step 1: Enquire

Get in touch via our website, email, or by phone on 01923 855724. Our friendly Admissions Team is available all year to answer questions and guide you through the process.

Step 2: Visit Us

Join us for a termly Open Morning, a private visit, or an online meeting if you live further away. You’ll meet the Headmaster, our Admissions Team, and relevant staff, explore our facilities, and discuss your child’s interests, abilities, and educational goals.

Step 3: Register

Register your child early to secure a place. Complete the Registration Form and pay the non-refundable £120 registration fee. We will keep you informed about assessments and availability in your child’s year group.

Step 4: Taster Session / Assessment

• Years 1 and above: Spend a morning or day at Edge Grove, meet a buddy, join lessons, and experience life at the school.

• Occasional places (Year 3+): Online Maths and English tests, school reference, and recent school report.

• Nursery & Reception: Group Assessment Mornings; individual assessments may be available if spaces remain.

Taster sessions and assessments help your child feel welcomed and allow us to understand their potential and needs.

Step 5: Offer a Place

Following the assessment or taster session, we aim to make offers within 48 hours (subject to references and availability). The offer letter includes:

• Terms & Conditions

• Deposit details

Step 6: Welcome

Congratulations! You and your child are now part of the Edge Grove family. We look forward to supporting your child’s educational journey.
