Design & Technology at Edge Grove ignites pupils’ passion and creativity through a curriculum that covers Product Design, Textiles, and Food Technology.
Through creating, making and evaluating projects in D&T, pupils gain practical skills and subject knowledge, whilst also focusing on the iterative design process and the safe use of tools, equipment, and materials. Our curriculum incorporates GCSE content, challenging pupils to think critically and become independent learners, whilst also learning to communicate design ideas effectively. The hands-on approach fosters a deeper understanding of the subject and inspires pupils to become successful designers and engineers in the future.
The D&T Scholarship activity and D&T club at the school is an excellent platform for D&T scholars and D&T enthusiasts to expand their knowledge and develop their technical skills beyond the classroom.
